Being an established social enterprise in India, BarrierBreak is highly focused on giving back to the community. We believe in contributing towards the growth and development of the society and our initiatives are prioritized towards achieving the same.

BarrierBreak has always endeavoured to conduct its business responsibly and thrives to ensure sustainable development of the society. Our CSR focus areas are inspired by our organizational vision for the development of people with disabilities and elderly.

The objective of the policy is to define BarrierBreak’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach in alignment with Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 read with applicable rules. BarrierBreak endeavors to reach out to underserved communities to address challenges of our society.

We shall focus on the following areas which are aligned to Schedule VII to the Companies Act, 2013:

Education, skill development & employment of people with disabilities and economically backward groups.
Reducing inequalities faced by people with disabilities and socially and economically backward groups.
Improving Health Care for underserved groups.

BarrierBreak provides support to scalable and replicable solutions that aims to impact the life of people with disabilities.

Accessibility Awareness

Udaan Empowerment Trust, through its flagship initiative Radio Udaan, has been at the forefront of promoting disability rights and accessibility. BarrierBreak supports Radio Udaan - the first online radio station run by people with visual impairment, in their Accessibility Awareness Building Initaitives through impactful media content.

Training - Digital Accessibility Testing (DAT)

Over the last 2 decades, Vision-Aid has been working for the cause of the visually impaired to provide them a life of dignity, independence and create livelihood. Vision-Aid’s mission is to Enable, Educate and Empower people with vision impairment so that they can lead a life of independence and dignity.BarrierBreak supports Vision India to provide skill development training in Digital Accessibility Testing (DAT) for 60 visually impaired beneficiaries from across India.

Skill Development Centre

BarrierBreak supports Jai Vakeel Foundation & Research Centre in their Skill Development Initiative which focuses on vocational training, sheltered workshop & respite care services for adults and children with intellectual & developmental disabilities.

Eyeway Conversations

Podcast series by Score Foundation supported by BarrierBreak inviting prominent speakers across the globe with the aim of spreading stories about living life with a disability as well as the need to create an accessible environment for inclusion of disabled people into the mainstream.
