BarrierBreak made an amazing impact at CSUN 2025, the world's leading assistive technology conference.
This year was special with the launch of two new innovative products: A11yInspect and A11yNow with the aim of making accessibility testing and management easier for organizations. BarrierBreak’s booth was filled with enthusiasm as attendees tried these products, experienced live demos, and provided some valuable feedback.
The team led by Shilpi Kapoor– CEO along with Shashank Kapur- Director - Strategy & Growth. Also, out first timers at CSUN - Abhay Kapur– Product Manager and Amit Bagwe- Accessibility & Assistive Technology Specialist showcased their expertise and passion for accessibility at the event.
A special thanks to Sheri Bryne Harber – global leader in accessibility and inclusion for joining the team at our booth and demoing the newly launched products. Here is a closer look at our experience at CSUN 2025.
A Milestone Moment: The Launch of A11yInspect and A11yNow
One of the highlights of our engagement was the eagerly awaited launch of our two new products:
- A11yInspect: The only Accessibility Chrome Extension you need. It reduces the time taken to implement accessibility for your developers & accessibility professionals. A11yInspect is ideal for organizations that want to incorporate accessibility right at the start of the product development cycle, so that inclusivity is built from the ground up.
- A11yNow: The only Accessibility Platform you need to manage your digital assets. Automated scans, detailed accessibility reports and data-driven dashboards to assist you in managing accessibility compliance.
Both these products are designed to make accessibility testing and management more effective and simpler, so that organizations can ensure an inclusive digital experience.
Engaging Presentation by BarrierBreak
Our CEO Shilpi Kapoor and internationally recognized disability rights lawyer Lainey Feingold presented a thought-provoking session where they discussed the Digital Accessibility Legal Update: Beyond the U.S. and EU. Their session shared the legal updates about laws, regulations, and advocacy efforts about digital access in India, Africa, Canada and other countries outside the U.S. and EU. Not only did they educate, but they also motivated participants to adopt accessibility as a part of their journey. “For me accessibility is global, and it was such a pleasure to share the stage with Lainey! We all started with focusing on the US but today accessibility ensures that the billion+ people with disabilities are included” says Shilpi Kapoor.
Hands-On Demos
At the BarrierBreak Booth, we provided live demonstrations of A11yInspect and A11yNow, enabling attendees to experience the tools in action. These demo sessions saw an active participation from attendees who tested some websites for accessibility problems with A11yInspect. The easy-to-use interface of A11yNow was a huge success amongst the attendees. The demos were a resounding success, with most of the attendees showing interest in using these products in their organizations.
Engaging Conversations with Accessibility Advocates
Perhaps, the most rewarding aspects of attending CSUN 2025 was the opportunity to connect with a diverse group of people – from accessibility experts, disability advocates to product managers and technology professionals.
The turnout at our booth was fabulous, with a consistent flow of attendees all the three days. The team had meaningful discussions with the attendees about the evolving landscape of digital accessibility and the difficulties that organizations encounter in attaining compliance. These discussions gave us valuable insights, enabling us to better comprehend the requirements of the community.
Looking Ahead: Our Commitment to Accessibility
Attending CSUN 2025 was more than an event for our team—it was a milestone on our path towards building a more digitally inclusive world. Looking forward, we continue to be dedicated to innovating and enhancing our products and services to address the changing needs of our users.
