Accessibility Infrastructure Audit
In the modern day of busy life everyone wants to utilize the precious time that they have the best way they can. People with disabilities are no exception to this rule. However in most cases they are not able to do so as there are a lot of hurdles in their way. These can be removed quite easily with little vision and innovation.
Having built a ramp in the premise doesn't mean that we have catered to all the needs of people with disabilities. That ramp needs to be tested by a wheelchair user to ensure that the ramp is useful. Similarly, there are elements that need to be kept in mind to cater to all disabilities.
Some of elements of an accessible infrastructure are:
- Ramps
- Signages
- Entrances
- Railings
- Flooring
Braille signage and tactile diagrams are of great importance while creating an accessible infrastructure.
Team
The team includes accessibility consultants, design experts, and people with disabilities as tester. Depending upon the client's requirement we can setup a customized team including people with different disabilities.
Methodology
The infrastructure audit is conducted to examine the level of accessibility in consultation with people with disabilities and access design experts to ensure that all facilities are accessible.
Deliverables
A detailed report is submitted which containing the findings and possible solutions or recommendations. In addition, the report includes priority indicators for each of the recommendations.
