Shilpi Kedia - Managing Director

Shilpi Kedia is one of the founder members of Net Systems Informatics (India) Pvt. Ltd. She is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. She has been trained in the field of Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and has 15 years of work experience in the field of networking and technical writing. She also has helped build a US based online community, creating content and online seminars. At the First International Conference on HIV/AIDS and Substance Abuse, Shilpi had also presented a paper on 'Utilizing the Internet to Combat HIV'.

She has founded the first ever computer training center in Mumbai for the visually impaired in 1999 and has also written a book for "Teaching computers to the visually impaired". She specializes in teaching concepts and assistive tools to the visually impaired.

Since 2001, Shilpi has been making efforts to make people aware of accessibility. She started Net Systems Informatics (India) Pvt. Ltd. (External link that opens in a New Window) with 'Accessibility' as one of its division. In 2007, Net Systems Informatics (India) Pvt. Ltd. launched BarrierBreak Technologies as a subsidiary in order to provide better and concentrated services in the field of accessibility.

Techshare India 2008 is one of her initiative towards making people aware of the advancement in the field of accessibility and technology for people with disability. She has been working to build awareness in the Indian government with regards to the needs of people with disabilities.
